**Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir:** The sister of Asif Fouji, one of the three terrorists identified in the recent Pahalgam attack, has revealed to the media that her brother was a member of the Mujahideen. The revelation comes as investigation teams continue their hunt for Asif Fouji, Suleiman Shah, and Abu Tala, whose images were recently released.
The sister, speaking anonymously, stated that her family home in Tral, South Kashmir, was demolished by security forces, forcing them to seek shelter with relatives. She claims to have been at her in-laws’ house during the attack and only returned home to find her parents and two sisters missing, fearing they were apprehended by security forces. She expressed shock and disbelief at her brother’s involvement, insisting she and her family were unaware of his actions.
Security forces have intensified their search for the suspects, believed to be linked to the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) group and the Resistance Front. The search operation has reportedly resulted in the demolition of several houses belonging to suspected militants, including those of Asif Fouji alias Asif Sheikh and Aadil Thokar alias Aadil Guri, in which IEDs were found and detonated. While security personnel escaped unharmed, five suspected militant homes were reportedly demolished in a late-night operation. Authorities have questioned family members of the suspects, all of whom have denied any knowledge of their involvement in the Pahalgam attack. The investigation into the attack, which targeted tourists, is ongoing.
