**Pathanamthitta, Kerala – April 26, 2025** – A home nurse has been arrested in Kerala for allegedly assaulting an Alzheimer’s patient under his care. Vishnu, a native of Kollam, was apprehended by Kodumon police following a complaint filed by the relatives of the victim, Sasidharan Pillai, a former BSF soldier.

Pillai, who lives alone in Thatta village near Kodumon while his wife and daughter are away, was allegedly dragged naked across the floor and severely injured by Vishnu. The assault came to light after Vishnu took Pillai to the hospital claiming he had fallen off the bed. However, CCTV footage revealed the truth behind the injuries.

Vishnu, employed just six weeks ago through an agency in Adoor, is currently facing charges. Pillai is receiving treatment at a private hospital in Parumala for his injuries. The incident highlights concerns surrounding the care provided by home healthcare agencies.
