**Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, April 26, 2025** – A team of paediatric cardiologists at Andhra Hospitals in Vijayawada successfully performed heart surgeries on 15 children between April 21st and 25th. The surgeries were part of a cardiology and cardiac surgical camp organized in association with the UK-based charity Healing Little Hearts, Andhra Mother and Child Foundation, and Mahesh Babu Foundation.
Dr. Nageswara Rao, cardiac surgeon at Andhra Hospitals, confirmed the successful completion of the procedures. Hospital officials also highlighted that the paediatric intensive care unit at Andhra Hospitals has performed approximately 600 children’s heart surgeries in the past few years. The collaborative effort underscores a commitment to providing vital cardiac care to children in the region.
