**Panaji, Goa – April 26, 2025** – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has seized original documents related to immovable properties worth over ₹600 crore in connection with a major land scam in Goa. The scam, estimated at ₹1,000 crore, allegedly involves fraudulent transfers of prime land parcels in tourist hotspots like Anjuna, Arpora, and Asagoan.

Following searches conducted on April 24th and 25th, the ED identified Rohan Harmalkar as a key figure in the conspiracy. Harmalkar, who ran as an independent candidate in the 2022 Goa legislative Assembly election, and his associates are accused of illegally appropriating land through impersonation, forgery, and manipulation of revenue records. The victims, including individuals and family estates, were reportedly unaware of the fraudulent sales.

The ED’s investigation, conducted under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), uncovered forged title deeds and other incriminating documents indicating the fraudulent transfer of several lakh square meters of land. The agency alleges that the proceeds of the crime were laundered through various individuals and shell companies before being invested in real estate, luxury vehicles, and other assets.

The investigation is ongoing, with the ED aiming to trace the remaining funds, identify other beneficiaries, and determine the involvement of any government officials.
