Fri Apr 25 21:32:00 UTC 2025: ## BJP and RSS Leaders Attend Screening of Documentary Challenging Caste Discrimination Narrative

**New Delhi, April 26, 2025** – A new documentary aiming to counter negative portrayals of India’s caste system in the West premiered in Delhi on Friday. The film, “The Caste Rush,” directed by IIT alumnus Nikhil Singh Rajput, was attended by senior members of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Funded by Indic Dialogue and promoted by the Centre for Social Development, the documentary challenges claims of widespread caste discrimination in Indian temples, particularly those made in the US media following allegations of labor exploitation at a New Jersey temple in 2021. Director Rajput stated that the documentary aims to provide a more accurate portrayal of the issue, arguing that the situation is far less severe than often depicted.

The screening was attended by prominent figures including RSS national publicity in-charge Sunil Ambekar and BJP MP Anil Baluni. The film’s release aligns with the RSS’s long-standing goal of eradicating caste discrimination within Hindu society, a goal frequently emphasized by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
