**NEW DELHI** – Activist Medha Patkar has been released from a defamation case filed against her in 2001 by Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena. A Delhi court ordered her release on Friday, after she agreed to furnish a probation bond and pay a compensation of Rs 1 lakh. The case, which spanned over two decades, has finally concluded with Patkar’s release.
