Howell’s limited playing time last season – five of 14 passes for 24 yards, one interception, and four sacks – didn’t impress enough to secure his position. With one year remaining on his affordable rookie contract, a trade appears increasingly likely. Should a trade materialize this weekend, it would mark only the third quarterback drafted by Schneider during his time with the Seahawks.
