Fri Apr 25 18:42:14 UTC 2025: ## Karnataka High Court Stays Coercive Action Against IAF Officer in Road Rage Case

**Bengaluru, April 26, 2025** – The Karnataka High Court has intervened in a road rage case involving Wing Commander Shiladitya Bose of the Indian Air Force. The court has directed city police to refrain from taking any coercive action against the officer following the filing of an FIR against him.

The incident, which occurred near C.V. Raman Nagar on Monday, involved a call centre employee, Vikas Kumar S.J. Initially, an FIR was filed based on Mr. Kumar’s complaint alleging assault by Wing Commander Bose. Subsequently, a counter-FIR was registered against the IAF officer.

Justice Hemant Chandangoudar granted the interim order on April 24th, following a petition filed by Wing Commander Bose challenging the legality of the FIR filed against him. The court’s order stipulates that police cannot summon the petitioner without following due legal process and that the chargesheet cannot be submitted without court permission. Wing Commander Bose is required to cooperate with the investigation.
