**Bhopal, India – April 26, 2025** – Following the April 22nd Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, which killed 26 people, the Indian government has ordered the deportation of all Pakistani nationals currently in the country. A deadline of April 27th has been set for their departure.

According to officials, 228 Pakistani nationals residing in Madhya Pradesh have been identified and are required to leave by the deadline. The Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, has instructed all state Chief Ministers to ensure the swift identification and deportation of all Pakistani citizens within their jurisdictions.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has revoked all existing visas issued to Pakistani nationals, effective April 27th. Medical visas will remain valid until April 29th. However, this measure does not affect long-term visas already granted to Hindu Pakistani nationals.

The move comes amidst escalating tensions between India and Pakistan following the Pahalgam attack, which has also led to ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC). Indian authorities are working to ensure all Pakistani nationals comply with the deportation order.
