**Concord, NC** – The 15th annual American Rebel Light NHRA 4-Wide Nationals at zMAX Dragway witnessed a flurry of record-breaking performances during Friday’s qualifying sessions. Brittany Force etched her name in the history books, achieving the fastest Top Fuel speed ever recorded at an astounding 341.58 mph. While her elapsed time of 3.667 seconds placed her third overall, behind teammate Shawn Langdon (3.665 seconds) and Doug Kalitta (3.646 seconds), the speed was enough to make history.
Kalitta himself set a new elapsed-time record for zMAX Dragway with his blistering 3.646-second run at 333.74 mph, securing the provisional No. 1 spot in Top Fuel. “The track is in incredible shape,” Kalitta commented, expressing excitement about the opportunity and the team’s strong performance.
In Funny Car, Paul Lee took the lead with a 3.829-second run at 328.54 mph in his Dodge Charger SRT. Lee remarked on the car’s strong start and predicted even faster times if conditions remain favorable. Austin Prock and Daniel Wilkerson followed closely behind.
Dallas Glenn edged out Greg Anderson for the No. 1 spot in Pro Stock, despite both posting identical 6.502-second runs. Glenn’s slightly higher speed of 211.10 mph secured the top position.
Finally, two-time reigning NHRA champion Gaige Herrera claimed the provisional No. 1 spot in Pro Stock Motorcycle with a 6.680-second run at 201.64 mph. Herrera noted the similarity to his record-setting run in Dallas last year. Richard Gadson and Matt Smith rounded out the top three in this category.
