**Thiruvananthapuram, April 25, 2025** – Kerala Bank and Kerala Automobiles Limited (KAL) announced a partnership Friday to provide loans for the purchase of electric three-wheelers. The initiative aims to promote self-employment and sustainable transportation.

Under the agreement, Kerala Bank will offer loans of up to ₹3 lakh for a five-year period to eligible individuals (aged 18-60) purchasing electric auto-rickshaws and carts manufactured by KAL. Beneficiaries will be identified in collaboration with local self-government bodies. The MoU was signed by Kerala Bank president Gopi Kottamurikkal and KAL chairperson Pulluvila Stanley.
