GUWAHATI, INDIA (April 25, 2025) – Oil India Limited (OIL) announced a remarkable success rate for its Pragyan Super 30 coaching program, with over 93% of the 150 underprivileged students clearing the Joint Entrance Examination (Mains). The program, which provides free, fully residential coaching for engineering aspirants, operates five centers across Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, and Rajasthan. A dedicated medical entrance coaching center in Jorhat, Assam, also operates under the initiative.
The program caters to meritorious students from families with an annual income below ₹4 lakh. Of the 150 engineering students, 140 qualified for JEE (Advanced), bringing them closer to admission into prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and National Institutes of Technology (NITs). The Jodhpur center achieved a 100% success rate, while the Assam and Arunachal Pradesh centers boasted a 92% success rate.
Since its inception in 2010, the program has facilitated admissions for 1,361 out of 1,482 students enrolled in its Northeast centers to IITs, NITs, and other engineering colleges across India. OIL invests approximately ₹3 lakh annually per student, totaling ₹6 crore for the six centers. The program’s significant impact highlights OIL’s commitment to education and social responsibility.
