Fri Apr 25 16:40:17 UTC 2025: ## 28 More Tamil Nadu Tourists Return Home After Kashmir Attack

**Chennai, April 25, 2025** – Twenty-eight more tourists from Tamil Nadu, affected by the recent Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir, arrived back in Chennai on Friday. Their return follows the arrival of other injured tourists earlier in the week. Among those still receiving medical attention is Dr. Parameswaran, who sustained bullet wounds and remains under observation in the ICU at AIIMS, New Delhi, for another 48 hours. Tamil Nadu’s special representative in Delhi, A.K.S. Vijayan, has visited him twice.

Another tourist, Bala Chandru, who suffered a heart attack during the incident, received treatment in Anantnag and arrived in Madurai on Friday evening, where he was met by the Madurai Collector.

IAS officer Aftab Rasool, deputed to Pahalgam to assist victims, facilitated the travel arrangements for the 28 tourists from Srinagar to Delhi, where they were met by Mr. Vijayan before continuing to Chennai. Authorities report no further injured Tamil Nadu residents remain in Kashmir, and calls to the control room set up in Tamil Nadu House, New Delhi, have significantly decreased.
