**KASARAGOD, KERALA, April 22, 2025** – A 28-year-old migrant worker from West Bengal, identified as Susantha Roy, was found dead under mysterious circumstances following an alleged late-night clash at a construction site in Kasaragod, Kerala. The incident occurred near the building under construction for the Indian Muslim League District (IUML) Committee office in Anabagilu.
Police have detained five individuals – three from Kasaragod and two from Palakkad – in connection with the death. According to police reports, the incident took place around midnight on Sunday, April 20th. Roy was discovered unconscious at the construction site and subsequently pronounced dead at Kasaragod General Hospital around 1 a.m. on Monday.
While initial reports suggested a fight among workers, those in custody claim Roy was attacked by unidentified individuals on a motorcycle. A case of unnatural death has been registered, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
