**New Delhi:** The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday announced the final results for the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024. The results, eagerly awaited by thousands of aspirants, saw strong representation from candidates across India, including several from the Telugu-speaking states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Shruti Dube secured the top rank, followed by Harshita Goyal (2nd), Archit Parag (3rd), and others. Among the successful candidates from the Telugu states, E. Sai Shivani achieved an impressive 11th rank. Other notable candidates from the region include Banna Venkatesh (15th), Abhishek Sharma (38th), and several others securing ranks within the top 200. A total of 1,009 candidates were selected for various positions across the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), and other central government services. The selection included 335 candidates from the General category, 109 from EWS, 318 from OBC, 160 from SC, and 87 from ST.
The UPSC had issued the notification for the recruitment of 1056 posts in February 2024. The preliminary examination was held on June 16th, followed by the main examination from September 20th to 29th. Personal interviews were conducted from January 7th to April 17th. The commission will release the detailed marks of the candidates within 15 days on its official website.
