**TIRUPATUR, INDIA – April 23, 2025** – Tirupattur police have arrested two men, P. Vediappan (38) and M. Sathyamurthy (31), for snatching a gold chain from a head constable, K. Lakshmi (45), earlier this week. The incident occurred near Jolarpet town when Ms. Lakshmi was returning home on her two-wheeler. She sustained injuries in the fall resulting from the snatching.
Following the incident, special police teams were formed to track down the suspects. The arrests were made during a routine check near the Jolarpet bus terminus, where the suspects aroused suspicion due to their evasive answers. Confessing to the crime, they led police to the recovered gold chain. Both men have been remanded to a sub-jail in Tirupattur.
