**DETROIT, MI –** The Detroit Pistons enjoyed a strong showing in the NBA’s 2024-25 regular season award finalists, announced Sunday. Three Pistons players and their coach received nominations.
Cade Cunningham is a finalist for the Most Improved Player Award, alongside Dyson Daniels (Atlanta Hawks) and Ivica Zubac (Los Angeles Clippers). Meanwhile, Malik Beasley is in the running for Sixth Man of the Year, competing against Payton Pritchard (Boston Celtics) and Ty Jerome (Cleveland Cavaliers). Finally, Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff is a finalist for Coach of the Year, facing off against Kenny Atkinson (Cleveland Cavaliers) and Ime Udoka (Houston Rockets).
The other major award finalists include Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), and Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee Bucks) for the Most Valuable Player Award.
The winners will be revealed sometime after the conclusion of the first round of the NBA playoffs.
