**Meerut, Uttar Pradesh –** Veteran television actor Lalit Manchanda was found dead at his Meerut residence on Monday, April 21st, at the age of 36. The Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) confirmed the news via an Instagram post, expressing their condolences for the actor who had been a member since 2012.
Manchanda, who had reportedly struggled financially in Mumbai, returned to Meerut with his family six months ago. His career spanned several popular television shows, including a role in the long-running sitcom *Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah*, and a portrayal of a father in DD National’s *Sevanchal Ki Premkatha*. He also appeared in *India’s Most Wanted*, *Crime Patrol*, and *Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai*. The cause of death has not yet been released.
