Tue Apr 22 10:11:30 UTC 2025: ## Two Youths Drown in Andhra Pradesh River
**CHINTOOR, Andhra Pradesh, April 22, 2025** – Two young men drowned in the Sabari River near the Odisha border on April 20th, and their bodies were recovered early Tuesday morning. Sugreeva Srinu and Nagula Dileep, both 25 and residents of Chintoor in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, were swimming with friends when the incident occurred at the confluence of the Sileru and Sabari rivers near Kalleru.
Police reports indicate that Srinu slipped from a rock and drowned. Dileep attempted a rescue but also perished. Authorities, including police, the State Disaster Response Force, and the Anti-Naxal Squad, conducted a search operation resulting in the recovery of both bodies. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is underway.
