VISAKHAPATNAM, INDIA (April 22, 2025) – Visakhapatnam North MLA P. Vishnu Kumar Raju urged pregnant and lactating women to participate in the “1,000-day protection” program under the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS). Speaking at the “Poshan Pakhwada” (Nutrition Fortnight) program in Marripalem, Raju distributed fruits and sweets to expectant mothers as part of the “Seemantham” initiative. The program, which ran from April 8th to 22nd, aims to raise awareness about balanced diets for proper child development. Urban CDPO Ramani Kumari confirmed the program’s duration. The MLA also toured Anganwadi stalls during the event.
