**Bengaluru, April 23, 2025** – Following reports of Karnataka tourists among the victims of a recent terrorist attack in Kashmir, the state government has sprung into action. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah convened an emergency meeting to assess the situation and coordinate relief efforts.

Labour Minister Santosh Lad will travel to Kashmir on Wednesday to assist surviving families, accompanied by a team of officials led by IPS officer Chetan R. A police contingent will provide logistical support. The Karnataka Resident Commissioner in Delhi will oversee further coordination.

Meanwhile, Bengaluru South MP Tejaswi Surya, currently in Kashmir, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that he is working closely with local authorities to provide aid and support to affected families. He stated he is in constant contact with the Lieutenant Governor’s office and plans to meet with the families soon.
