This hit also tied him with Tris Speaker for second place on the all-time extra-base hit list with 667.
He later scored on a fielding error by Pirates’ third baseman Jared Triolo, bringing him within one run of tying Omar Vizquel for sixth place on the franchise’s all-time runs scored list.
