KADAPA, April 22, 2025 – Kadapa police announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with the murder of fruit vendor Shaik Sadiq Valli, which occurred on April 15th in the city’s Built-Up Circle. The accused, identified as Chappidi Rayappa alias Peddodu (35), Shaik Ghouse Basha alias Kalia (26), Seelam Balaswamy (26), and Sunkara Venkatesu (24), were apprehended in Ramarajupalle on Tuesday.
According to Superintendent of Police E.G. Ashok Kumar, who presented the accused at a press conference, the murder stemmed from a past rivalry between the victim and the suspects. Police recovered two knives, three cell phones, and a two-wheeler believed to have been used in the crime.
The investigation, spearheaded by Sub Divisional Police Officer G. Venkateswarlu, was praised by the SP, who commended the efforts of the officers involved in swiftly solving the high-profile case.
