Tue Apr 22 11:30:00 UTC 2025: ## Singer Accuses ‘Paaduta Teegaga’ Judges of Bias, Body-Shaming, and Exploitation

HYDERABAD, INDIA – A contestant on the popular Telugu television singing competition, “Paaduta Teegaga,” has leveled serious allegations of bias, body-shaming, and unethical behavior against the judges and producers. Pravasthi Aradhya, a singer who participated in the ETV show, claims she faced discrimination and humiliation throughout her time on the program.

Aradhya publicly accused judges Sunitha, Chandrabose, and Keeravani of exhibiting blatant favoritism, specifically citing instances where Sunitha allegedly targeted her from the beginning, and Chandrabose nitpicked her song lyrics. She further alleges that Keeravani displayed condescending behavior, disparaging her work singing at functions and weddings as beneath her.

The most shocking allegation involves the show’s dress code. Aradhya claims producers provided her with a saree and instructed her to wear it below her navel, causing her significant distress.

Following these accusations, Aradhya announced her withdrawal from the industry, stating that she believes the incidents will damage her career prospects. She expressed fear that no one will offer her singing opportunities after her public accusations.

The allegations have sparked outrage among viewers and raised concerns about the ethics of reality television. While some commenters have expressed sympathy for Aradhya’s situation, many have countered that such reality competitions are inherently competitive and success is dependent on various factors besides mere talent. Others have suggested that Aradhya pursue opportunities outside of the show’s framework, referencing her existing songs in other languages and the availability of other platforms to showcase her talent. The controversy continues to unfold, with many questioning the overall conduct of the judges and producers of “Paaduta Teegaga.”
