Mon Apr 21 16:10:00 UTC 2025: **Patna Gold Prices Hit Record High, Surpassing Silver**

PATNA, INDIA – Gold prices in Patna soared to an all-time high on Monday, reaching ₹1,13,000 per 10 grams (including GST). This marks a ₹515 increase from Saturday’s price of ₹99,498 and a significant ₹10,000 jump in the last two months. The surge is attributed to increased global demand.

According to Mohit Goyal of the Patliputra Sarafa Sangh’s price determination committee, the price of 24-carat gold without GST was ₹97,100 per 10 grams on Monday. The 3% GST added brings the final price to ₹1,13,000.

This unprecedented rise has pushed the price of 10 grams of gold above that of one kilogram of silver for the second time in April. Silver prices remained unchanged at ₹98,880 (without GST) per kilogram for six days. While 10 grams of gold briefly surpassed the price of a kilogram of silver on April 17th, Monday marked a sustained period above this benchmark.

The significant price increase underscores the volatility in the precious metals market and their increasing value as investments.
