**Vijayawada, April 21, 2025** – The Andhra Pradesh government has announced a major teacher recruitment drive, ending a seven-year wait. The “Mega DSC” notification will fill 16,347 teacher posts across the state.

The announcement, timed to coincide with Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s birthday, has been met with widespread celebration from unemployed youth associations and teacher organizations. S. Hemantha Kumar, president of the AP Nirudyoga Youth JAC, expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and offered prayers at his portrait. He urged the government to conduct the exam on the same day across the state to ensure fairness.

Shaik Siddiq, state convener of the Unemployed JAC, credited Mr. Naidu for fulfilling his promise and for filling nearly 80% of teacher posts even during the state’s unified period. The Andhra Pradesh Primary Teachers’ Association also lauded the decision, stating that the recruitment freeze had negatively impacted the education sector. The association thanked the Chief Minister, HRD Minister Nara Lokesh, and other officials involved. The recruitment drive is expected to significantly improve the state’s education system.
