Mon Apr 21 10:20:55 UTC 2025: **Supreme Court to Decide on Podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia’s Passport on April 28th**

NEW DELHI, April 21, 2025 – The Supreme Court of India announced today that it will rule on April 28th on the request by podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia for the return of his passport. Allahbadia, known as BeerBiceps, was implicated in multiple FIRs following controversial comments made during a YouTube appearance on Samay Raina’s show, “India’s Got Latent.”

The court confirmed that the investigation into Allahbadia’s remarks, which included comments deemed vulgar and offensive regarding parents and sex, is complete. While a chargesheet has yet to be filed in Mumbai, the solicitor general stated that investigations in Guwahati are ongoing. On March 3rd, the court allowed Allahbadia to resume his podcast, “The Ranveer Show,” under conditions of maintaining decency and suitability for all ages.

In February, the Supreme Court granted Allahbadia interim protection from arrest, describing his comments as shameful and vulgar. Along with Allahbadia and Raina, several other comedians are named in the Assam FIR. The court’s upcoming decision will determine whether Allahbadia will regain possession of his passport, which he was required to surrender as part of the earlier court order.
