Mon Apr 21 14:19:11 UTC 2025: ## Telangana ACB Busts Bribery Ring, Arrests Four Officials and Reporter

**Hyderabad, Telangana – April 21, 2025** – Telangana’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) launched a major crackdown on corruption, arresting four government officials and a television reporter in separate bribery cases across the state. The arrests, which took place on Monday, involved officials accepting bribes ranging from ₹7,000 to ₹1.30 lakh.

In Nizamabad, Senior Assistant N. Srinivasa Sharma of the Panchayat Raj Division was caught accepting a ₹7,000 bribe to process documents. In Rangareddy district, Deputy Executive Engineer Sudharshanam Raghu, along with two outsourcing inspectors, V. Rakesh and V. Suresh, were arrested for accepting a ₹1 lakh bribe to clear road work bills.

A Revenue Inspector, Vineet Kumar, was apprehended in Jangaon for taking a ₹26,000 bribe to provide a favorable land mutation report. In a separate incident, television reporter Mittapalli Gopi was arrested for allegedly accepting a ₹1 lakh bribe on behalf of Manuguru Circle Inspector S. Satish Kumar, who was also taken into custody. Gopi allegedly demanded ₹4 lakh from a complainant to keep their name out of a police case.

All those arrested were produced before special anti-corruption courts in Hyderabad and Warangal. The ACB emphasized that investigations are ongoing and urged the public to report bribery attempts through various channels, assuring confidentiality for complainants. This is the second major ACB operation in Bhadradri Kothagudem district in less than two weeks.
