**KOCHI, April 21, 2025** – S. Sathish, a State committee member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) [CPI(M)], has been elected as the new Ernakulam district secretary. He replaces C.N. Mohanan, who recently assumed the role of State secretariat member. The announcement was made following a party meeting attended by key figures including State secretary M.V. Govindan and central committee member P. Rajeeve.

Mr. Sathish, currently the vice chairperson of the State Youth Welfare Board, brings extensive experience to the position, having previously served as the State president and national vice president of the Democratic Youth Federation of India. The meeting also elected a 12-member district secretariat.
