Mon Apr 21 07:52:25 UTC 2025: ## Kerala CM Accuses Central Government of Neglect Amidst Anniversary Celebrations

**Kasaragod, Kerala –** Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched a strong attack on the Central government Monday, accusing it of neglecting the state during times of crisis. Speaking at the fourth anniversary celebrations of the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government, Vijayan stated that the Centre consistently refused to provide necessary support during natural disasters, the Nipah virus outbreak, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

He claimed the central government actively hindered Kerala’s recovery efforts, appearing more concerned with the state’s potential failure than its success. Despite this alleged indifference, Vijayan highlighted Kerala’s achievements, emphasizing the state’s resilience and the collective will of its people in overcoming adversity. He cited progress on national and state highways, the successful implementation of the GAIL pipeline project, and significant advancements in housing (LIFE Mission) and land title distribution. Further achievements included improvements in health, education, and agriculture sectors.

Vijayan also criticized the opposition and parts of the media for allegedly aligning with the Centre to obstruct Kerala’s development. He unveiled a new book, “Navakeralathinte Vijaya Mudragal,” documenting the LDF government’s accomplishments during its tenure. The celebrations included the Ente Keralam exhibition and marketing fair.
