**CHENNAI, April 21, 2025** – A 42-year-old history sheeter, Thondai Raj, was murdered in broad daylight on Sunday in Chennai’s Vyasarpadi neighborhood. Raj, who had over 15 criminal cases against him, including a triple murder charge, was attacked and stabbed to death by two unidentified assailants while walking with his wife.
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Sathyamoorthy Nagar Main Road. Raj sustained multiple facial injuries and died at the scene. Local residents alerted the Vyasarpadi police, who transported the body to Government Stanley Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Police preliminary investigations suggest the murder was a result of previous enmity. An investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.
