**NELLORE, Andhra Pradesh –** Andhra Pradesh’s Endowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy distributed unemployment allowances totaling ₹53.91 lakh to 599 Vedic and Agama scholars on Sunday. The “Nirudyoga Bhruti,” amounting to ₹3,000 per person for the months of January, February, and March 2025, was presented during a “Maha Homam” religious ceremony in Atmakur.
The event also celebrated the 75th birthday of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, with the ceremony including the bringing of holy water from nine rivers and the use of seven “Kalasams” to invoke blessings for Naidu’s continued health. Minister Reddy praised Naidu’s leadership and experience.
Reddy stated that the state government has fulfilled 95% of its election promises related to the endowments portfolio. The allowance, officially termed “Sambhavana,” aims to support unemployed Vedic scholars and protect Sanatana Dharma. Approximately 8,000 attendees received food, clothing, and a “Tirumala Srivari Laddu” each.
