**Chennai, April 20, 2025** – Renovation work on the Valluvar Kottam monument in Chennai is nearing completion, offering passersby glimpses of the upgrades. Recent photos show a newly painted compound wall along Valluvar Kottam High Road and a large, newly concreted parking area with capacity for 168 cars.

According to Public Works Department (PWD) sources, work on the three main entrances is in its final stages, with decorative archways expected to be finished within a week. While the official inauguration date remains unannounced, PWD is coordinating with the Chief Minister’s Office to finalize it.

The renovation significantly improves the appearance of the compound wall, which had suffered damage in the past. Until the official unveiling, the public can continue to enjoy sneak peeks of the completed work from Valluvar Kottam High Road.
