**Tiruppur, Tamil Nadu, April 20, 2025** – Tiruppur Cyber Crime Police have arrested R. Dinooshan, a former resident of the Perumanallur Sri Lankan refugee camp, for his involvement in a ₹25.79 lakh investment scam. Dinooshan allegedly provided his bank account, S.K. Enterprises, to fraudsters operating a fake trading app called “Adit Pro,” which lured victims through a WhatsApp group promising stock market tips and IPOs.

The victim, who did not receive promised returns, contacted the police, leading to Dinooshan’s arrest. Police investigations revealed Dinooshan’s account is linked to at least 35 other cybercrime cases across India. He was remanded in judicial custody.

In light of this case, police issued an advisory urging the public to exercise caution when encountering attractive online job offers lacking verified personal details. Victims are encouraged to contact the helpline number 1930 or file a complaint at http://www.cybercrime.gov.in.
