Sun Apr 20 05:00:00 UTC 2025: ## St. Louis Faces Renewed Severe Weather Threat Sunday
**ST. LOUIS, MO [October 26, 2025]** – While this morning’s heavy rain and storms have cleared St. Louis, forecasters warn of a renewed severe weather threat later today and into Sunday evening. Though the risk remains relatively low for the immediate future, conditions are expected to deteriorate by Sunday afternoon as atmospheric instability increases.
A line of storms is predicted to hit western regions by 4 p.m., reaching the St. Louis metro area around 7 p.m., and continuing into southern Illinois. These storms could bring hail and damaging winds. While rainfall is not anticipated to be as heavy as Saturday night, minimizing the flash flood risk, river levels will require monitoring.
The severe weather is expected to dissipate by 10 p.m. Sunday, giving way to dry conditions and near-to-above normal temperatures Monday and Tuesday. However, another period of wet weather is anticipated from Wednesday to Friday.
Residents are urged to stay weather-aware and monitor forecasts throughout the day as the potential for severe weather persists until Sunday evening. For the latest updates, check FOX 2.
