**FARIDABAD, Haryana (April 20, 2025)** – Four Faridabad police officers were injured in an alleged attack by villagers and relatives of a vehicle theft suspect in Jamalgarh village, Nuh district, Haryana. The incident occurred Friday afternoon following the arrest of Salim alias Salli.
According to police, after arresting Salli, officers were pursued by a white pickup truck. When the police vehicle stopped, approximately 20 men and a woman attacked the officers with stones, causing their vehicle to overturn. The assailants then allegedly attempted to run over the officers.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Samsuddin’s complaint states that Sub-inspector Sunder, head constable Yunis Khan, and constables Vikrant and Nitin sustained injuries during the attack. While the attackers initially tried to free Salli, they fled when reinforcements arrived.
A case has been registered against the 21 suspects under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. The injured officers are receiving treatment in Gurugram and Faridabad hospitals. Police are conducting raids to apprehend the remaining suspects.
