**Denver, CO – April 18, 2025** – A surprise April snowstorm slammed western Colorado today, leading to significant snowfall and road closures in mountainous areas. The National Weather Service reported substantial accumulations as of 6 p.m. MDT, with some locations receiving over a foot of snow.
Arapahoe Peak and Loveland Pass saw the highest totals, both reporting 15.4 inches of snow. Other areas experiencing heavy snowfall include Berthoud Pass (12.6 inches), Centennial (13.5 inches), and Encampment (13.3 inches).
