**Kuppam, Andhra Pradesh:** N. Chandrababu Naidu, former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), celebrated his birthday with a unique tribute from the people of Kuppam. Naidu, who has a long-standing history in politics, including a five-year tenure as Chief Minister of both undivided and post-bifurcated Andhra Pradesh, received a portrait created entirely from the fingerprints of Kuppam residents.
A local artist, Purushottam, crafted a white-sheet outline of Naidu, which was then filled in using ink pads and the fingerprints of men, women, and children from the town. Approximately 2,000 people participated in this unique expression of support, creating a memorable birthday tribute. The portrait was then paraded through Kuppam, showcasing the strong bond between Naidu and his constituency where he has consistently won elections.
The celebration underscores Naidu’s enduring popularity in Kuppam, where he is considered a revered figure. His political career began as a student leader at SV University, where he befriended Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy and shared classes with former minister Peddi Reddy Ramachandra Reddy. Naidu’s birthday is also being celebrated across the state by TDP workers with large-scale events planned. The celebrations included a separate report on important safety advice concerning LPG cylinders, emphasizing the importance of checking expiry dates and promptly addressing any gas leaks.
