**Eluru, April 19 (Andhra Jyothi):** West Godavari District Collector Vetri Selvi has appealed to the public to reduce plastic usage as part of environmental protection and to promote a healthier lifestyle. On Saturday, she participated in a *Swarnamukhi-Swachha Andhra* program, undertaking a cleanup drive along the Krishna River banks with municipal staff. The initiative focused on removing weeds, garbage, and waste to improve environmental sanitation.
The Collector emphasized the importance of public participation in these programs. The event was attended by several officials, including SP KPS Kishore, JC Dhatri Reddy, Co-option Member Pedababu, DRO Visweswara Rao, RDO Achyuta Ambarish, and Municipal Commissioner Bhanu Pratap.
Furthermore, as part of the *Swarnamukhi-Swachha Andhra* program, Collector Selvi planted trees on the Collectorate premises. She also oversaw the collection of electronic waste from various departments under the e-waste theme.
