Fri Apr 18 18:50:57 UTC 2025: ## Medanta Hospital Technician Arrested for Sexual Harassment of Flight Attendant
**GURUGRAM, April 19, 2025** – A 25-year-old machine technician at Medanta – The Medicity hospital in Gurugram has been arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a flight attendant while she was receiving treatment earlier this month. Deepak, a resident of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, had been employed at the hospital for five months.
The alleged incident occurred on April 6th after the flight attendant was admitted following a near-drowning incident. She reported the alleged assault, which occurred while she was on a ventilator and semi-conscious, to the Sadar police station on April 14th, the day after her discharge.
A Special Investigation Team (SIT) was formed to investigate the case. The SIT reviewed footage from 800 CCTV cameras throughout the hospital and interviewed 50 staff members, including doctors, before arresting Deepak on Friday.
Following the arrest, Medanta hospital suspended Deepak and stated they would fully cooperate with the police investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Saturday. The investigation is ongoing.
