**Kochi, India** – Popular Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko was arrested by Kochi police today on charges related to drug use and conspiracy. The arrest follows questioning in connection with an ongoing investigation into a drug trafficking ring.

Police allege that Chacko provided information to investigators regarding a drug dealer, Sajir, who is a target of the investigation. Chacko initially claimed he fled from police due to fear, believing they were attackers. However, evidence of drug use led to his arrest under sections 27 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). He is also facing charges of conspiracy.
