**Kochi, Kerala:** Malayalam actor Shine Tom Chacko appeared at the Ernakulam North police station today for questioning following an incident where he fled a drug raid at a Kochi hotel last week. Police had issued a notice to the actor yesterday, summoning him for questioning. The actor arrived at the station around 10 am.
The police are investigating Chacko’s actions after he reportedly ran from a private hotel during a drug raid conducted by the Excise Department’s Dansaf squad. No charges have been filed against him yet. However, police have prepared a 32-question preliminary questionnaire focusing on his reasons for fleeing the hotel.
As part of their investigation, police have collected Chacko’s call logs for the past month, CCTV footage from six Kochi hotels where he recently stayed, and a list of visitors who met him during that time. Information regarding his recent out-of-state trips and details obtained from the Excise Department have also been gathered.
The police interrogation is expected to center on explaining his actions during the drug raid. Further action will be decided upon after the completion of questioning. The incident is still under investigation.
