Sat Apr 19 11:50:00 UTC 2025: ## Disney Passes on Emilio Estevez’s “Mighty Ducks 4” Script

**LOS ANGELES** – Emilio Estevez, the star of the original “Mighty Ducks” trilogy, revealed he penned a script for a fourth installment, but Disney declined to produce it. The script, titled “Mighty Ducks 4,” would have seen Estevez’s Coach Bombay returning to coach an all-girl team in the professional women’s hockey league, after a stint coaching roller derby. The story would have involved Bombay mentoring a new team alongside characters played by Joshua Jackson and Kenan Thompson from the Disney+ series, “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers.”

Estevez stated he aimed to “make up for all the disasters” of the series, where he departed before the second and final season. His exit, according to sources, stemmed from a disagreement over the show’s COVID-19 vaccination policy.

While “Game Changers” received generally positive reviews, Disney ultimately chose not to move forward with Estevez’s vision for a fourth film. The actor’s full interview detailing the rejected script can be found on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast.
