**Hyderabad, April 19, 2025** – A crane collapsed at a construction site in the Abids area of Hyderabad on Friday evening, resulting in minor property damage and one injury. The incident occurred at the Arogya Hospital, which is undergoing redevelopment by CARE Hospitals.
According to Abids police detective inspector K. Narasimha, strong winds caused the crane to topple over onto the partially built third floor of the structure. A female security officer sustained injuries, but no fatalities were reported. The collapse damaged a section of the third floor and some equipment.
Police have registered a case and are investigating the cause of the accident to determine if safety protocols were followed. The investigation is ongoing.
