**Belagavi, Karnataka, April 19, 2025** – The Belagavi District Central Cooperative Bank (BDCC Bank) announced record profits and significant growth in its operations during its annual report released Thursday. The bank reported a net profit of ₹33.11 crore (a ₹2.54 crore increase from the previous year), and a share capital increase to ₹303 crore. Total deposits reached ₹6,087 crore, and the bank disbursed a total of ₹7,557 crore in loans.

The bank’s success was highlighted by officials, including President Appasaheb Kulgude and MLA and director Balachandra Jarkiholi. Jarkiholi announced plans for new farmer-centric schemes and the implementation of new technological tools to improve efficiency. The bank also plans a centenary celebration in May or June, delayed from its original date due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Director and former MP Annasaheb Jolle emphasized the bank’s significant contribution to the agricultural sector. BDCC Bank exceeded its target for short-term crop loans, disbursing ₹3,475.66 crore to 488,379 farmers – a 109.47% achievement rate. Despite reduced refinance funds from NABARD, the bank maintained a high loan recovery rate of 99.22%. Jolle also highlighted the bank’s generous loan programs for purchasing agricultural equipment, with over ₹161 crore disbursed for tractors alone.

The bank is also expanding its services to improve customer convenience. A mobile banking service has been launched, and online banking services, including IMPS, UPI, Google Pay, and Phone Pay, are planned for the near future. Nine new branches are set to open across the Belagavi district.

Director and former MLA Mahantesh Dodagoudra announced that ₹35 crore in zero-interest loans had been provided to 1850 women’s self-help groups. The bank attributed its overall success to the trust placed in it by farmers, cooperatives, and customers.
