Rasht, Iran – A serious single-car accident in Rasht resulted in one fatality and three injuries, according to Shahrram Momeni, head of Rasht’s fire department. The incident involved a Sonata sedan that veered off course and collided violently with the wall of a shop. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle and injured the occupants, also spilling oil onto the street.
Firefighters quickly secured the scene, preventing a potential fire hazard caused by the spilled oil. Sadly, a 45-year-old male passenger died at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. Three other passengers sustained injuries and were transported to the hospital by three ambulances. Authorities urge citizens not to attempt to remove victims from accident sites prematurely. Following the incident, firefighters handed over the scene to police and returned to their station.
