Fri Apr 18 14:45:29 UTC 2025: ## Wife of Key Suspect Arrested in Tirunelveli Murder Case
**Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu, April 18, 2025** – Police have arrested Noor Nisha, 38, the wife of the main accused in the murder of retired Sub-Inspector Zakhir Hussein Bijili, 60. Bijili was killed on March 18th in Tirunelveli Town by an armed gang in a suspected land dispute.
Five other suspects – Krishnamurthy alias Mohammed Thowfeque (Noor Nisha’s husband), his brother Karthik, Thowfeque’s brother-in-law Akbar Shah, relative Peer Mohammed, and a minor – were arrested previously. All except the minor have been detained under the Goondas Act.
Noor Nisha, who had been on the run, was apprehended Thursday night in Melapalayam. Police believe she possesses crucial information about the murder plot. The investigation is ongoing.
