**Kolkata, West Bengal:** The Alipore Meteorological Department has issued a weather warning for widespread rain and thunderstorms across South Bengal, including Kolkata, through Saturday. The forecast predicts scattered thunderstorms with lightning, and some districts may experience hailstorms associated with Nor’westers (Kalbaishakhi). The likelihood of severe thunderstorms will increase on Thursday and Friday.
