**Chennai, April 18, 2025** – Two functionaries of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party have been booked by Virugambakkam police for allegedly attempting to encroach upon a piece of land near Vadapalani. The complaint was filed by 71-year-old Pauldurai, who claims to have leased the land from the overseas owner 20 years ago. The accused, Suryasivakumar and Srinivasan, reportedly presented a power of attorney claiming ownership. Police have launched a further investigation into the matter.
