TIRUPATI: A war of words between ruling party MLAs and former YSRCP MLA Bojjala Govardhana Reddy has escalated tensions in Tirupati over the SV Gosala (sacred cow shelter). On Thursday morning, a group of opposition MLAs— Pulivarthi Nani, Bojjala Sudhir Reddy, Arany Sri Nivasaulu—along with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) member, Bhanu Prakash Reddy, visited the Gosala. They then called Govardhana Reddy, challenging him to address their concerns in person, accusing him of making false allegations. The MLAs, including Kalikiri Muralimohan, requested Reddy to come to the Gosala with five people, as per police advice. Govardhana Reddy responded that he would be present. A large police presence was deployed at the Gosala in anticipation.
